Privacy Policy for AniTrail

CX Ultra (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use the AniTrail mobile application (the “App”).
AniTrail is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do not require you to create an account on our servers, nor do we host a proprietary backend database to track your usage.
- Local Data: Your watch lists, progress, custom lists, and profile settings are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
- No Direct Tracking: We do not track your specific watch history on our servers, nor do we sell any user data to third parties.
2. Third-Party Services
To provide its core functionality, AniTrail interacts with several third-party services. By using the App, your device will make network requests to these services, which may collect standard internet log data (such as your IP address) in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
- Tenrai & Jikan APIs (MyAnimeList data): The App queries the public Tenrai and Jikan REST APIs to search for anime, fetch metadata, and load images. These requests are made directly from your device.
- Google AdMob (Advertising): For non-premium users, the App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and process device advertising identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP addresses, and basic usage diagnostics to serve ads.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to process in-app subscriptions and manage premium entitlements. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase identifiers and device metadata to validate transactions.
- Sentry (Diagnostics): We use Sentry to capture anonymized crash logs, system diagnostics, and runtime error traces to monitor app performance and fix software bugs. This data is entirely stripped of personally identifiable information (PII) before transmission and is used strictly for technical debugging.
- Google Play Services: Standard app store metrics may be collected by Google to track active installations and platform usage statistics.
3. Google Drive Sync Integration
AniTrail offers a cloud synchronization feature using Google Drive. If you choose to enable this feature:
- Restricted Access: AniTrail requests access only to a specific, isolated application data folder within your Google Drive. The App cannot read, modify, or delete any of your other personal files, photos, or documents on Google Drive.
- Data Transfer: Your tracking data is synced directly between your device and your Google Drive account. It never passes through or is stored on CX Ultra servers.
- Revocation: You can disconnect your Google Drive account from the App at any time via the in-app Settings, or by revoking AniTrail’s access directly in your Google Account Security settings.
4. Children’s Privacy
AniTrail does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this webpage and updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this document. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
